So, you want to go to India but are frightened of the food and getting ill? Well, dont be! I know it is easier said than done but India is probably one of the safest places you could eat food and I am not kidding! Eating out on the streets of India or even in a restaurant is risky wherever you are in the world but for some reason people think it is way more dangerous in India. Because most of the food is cooked fresh it is usually going to be safe to eat. There is no food kept in overnight or left in a fridge to rot for weeks. All of the food is usually purchased on the same day it is cooked. There is nothing kept in overnight in freezers or fridges and the ingredients is always purchased on the same day as when it is cooked. Whats more is that your food order either in a restaurant or cafe will always be cooked then and there from scratch which sustains the genuine feel to their cuisine.
One of the biggest parts to the Indian culture is their food and they take great passion in preparing their food for travellers. Here are a few handy points that will help you when you go out to eat in India Indian food.

1. Make sure it is piping hot!
2. Make sure there are no bugs in it
3. Make sure it smells and looks good!

In the majority of circumstances these steps will cover you for your trip. Normally, as basic as they are these steps will cover you for your trip. You just have to get stuck in and it really is as simple as that. If I were you I would want to try and be a part of as much as possible especially the cuisine. So, have fun!

Lots of people believe that which glass you drink a wine from doesn’t matter. The taste remains the same right? Well, it is becoming increasingly popular to have a number of sets of glasses especially for different types of wine. The grandfather of Mr Riedel (The well known wine glass brand) was the pioneer of the different shaped wine glasses and was the first to produce special designs for different wines.Ever since, people have been convinced that the theory is correct and you can really notice a difference is the drinking experience. Buyer for K & L Wine Merchants in San Francisco, Shaun Green is a supporter of this concept, stating It really does make a difference. Riedel now have over 40 different types of wine glasses, but if you cant afford, or havent got space for these glasses, which ones are vital to own?

Red Wine – You really need a big-bowled smooth and basic glass for the drinking of red wine. This provides room to swirl the drink around the glass and set free its flavour. It allows also a large percentage of the nasal area to fit in the glass and absorb the fine aromas. This is a characteristic that is also seen in a whisky glass

White Wine A smaller-bowled glass with a higher rim is needed for drinking white wine. This prevents any of the precious aroma from lifting over the edge of the glass and keeps the flavours tightly wrapped up before they enter the mouth.

Champagne The long thin iconic shape of champagne flutes is needed to drink this luxury product. The bubbles are preserved in the flute better than they would be in another glass and the the narrow rim prevents the carbonated air from entering the sinuses.

All other wines basically fit into these three categories and the three styles of glass will compliment each one well. So if youre missing any of these, youre missing out on the best taste.

EPCOT if no one is familiar with it actually stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. This idea actually originates from Walt Disney and although it has now become a very successful theme park, the park itself was not planned at all by Disney.

Disney saw his grandchildren and thought to himself, what is going to happen to them when they are my age, what cities are going to be like then. In Disney’s opinion they were dirty and riddled with crime. So Disney started to read into all kinds of things that involved large scale city planning. Walt Disney began to plan EPCOT and just a few months before he died, produced a video explaining what he was planning with the Floridian land he has just purchased. He wanted to build a community of all the latest technology, always being updated and never staying the same but at the time assuring safety withibn the community itself. Crime would have stopped in this community.

The EPCOT project has since been turned into a massive theme park and is one of the four major parks at Disney World in Florida. However Walts original idea has not been dropped as the park itself is always bringing in the new technology and replacing the old with sci-fi rides and features. As well as this the World Showcase featuring eleven countries from the world attempts to bring the world together all in one place. This is an idea that could only really exist in a Disney theme park.

Canada itself forms part of this vast World Showcase so perhaps visiting this place before you go to Canada might be a good idea? If you like it why not go on one of those Canada holidays or Canada Tours, then again if you love the idea of EPCOT then Florida holidays is what you need.

I am nearly in my thirties and have adored animals for most of my life. I recollect that from a minor age I always wanted to work with animals. I remember back to when I was about ten and used to have my own hamster, I used to adore it I literally used to take it everywhere with me and I recall that there was this one time that I actually took it to school with me, only for the teacher to find out and send me home.

Well plenty about that, this is in truth more about how I made my changeover from being a veterinary surgeon to looking after animals in Africa. My boss in the vet shop is from South Africa and he always had a dream to return back to his home nation. When his best friend decided to leave and return back to Africa he could not stand it any longer and decided to follow in his footsteps.

The only matter I was genuinely worried about was in reality getting sacked from my line of work and having no income. It was not until a week before the shop was due to shut that my boss asked me to go with him to Africa as he was opening a new safari adventure for tourists. To be honest I nearly fainted, I instantly jumped at the chance.

When I arrived in Africa it was like it was a whole new world. A year on I am happier then I have ever been in life. There are a lot of people that like to have materialistic items such as a car or a fabulous house but personally I am just happy with my nice hut spending every single day looking after animals or taking tourists around.

For superb safaris, Kenya Safari and Zambia safari

Pubs in England could soon be welcoming a new beer glass into their hands. Say bonjour to the ‘Schooner’ glass. Essentially, the schooner glass is a glass that holds the equivalent of two thirds of a pint. The recent development is a result of pub landlords that want to sell stronger beers and ciders in smaller measures. Reports have also claimed that this beer glass will give females a chance to order a beer in a smaller measure as reports have suggested that women think the pint is too much.

Pint glasses were too big and got hot in the sun so the Aussies created a schooner which is half the size and half as manly. Why people think that same methodology will apply to us in beyond me but pub landlords in the UK are taking it very seriously indeed. Many people are a bit scared that it will create a boycott like effect for the pint glass at pubs. At the moment pubs are allowed to sell drinks in a pint, half pint and a third of a pint. The smaller shaped glass will no doubt cause a headache for pub staff cutlery as the glass itself looks almost identical to a pint glass and there will no doubt be mistakes. Yet, a lot of people are in favour of getting this new glass into pubs as more options to drink less are always welcomed. It is the same with wine glasses. In loads of clubs and pubs they will only ever sell a larger glass wine glasses in the bar and in their tableware.

The Scottish Licensed Trade Association said there was no call for the two-third pint measures saying, ‘What good is this going to do anyone?’. Science and Innovation Minister Lord Drayson said: ‘There is no question of replacing the British pint, but introducing the option of a brand new imperial measure is good for consumers and providing them with far more choice.

Paul Brett – Collecting Vintage Acoustic Guitars

The guitar has got to be about the most well known musical instrument. Maybe a drum is really the most well known instrument. There is probably not a single adult in the world who doesn’t know what a guitar is.

One thing that makes guitars so appealing is their accessibility. Unlike a Piano, or a drum kit, a guitar is portable and almost anyone can pick one up. But learning to play a recognisable tune on guitar can be a lot of hard work.

I’ve met some exceptionally talented people who, within weeks of picking up a guitar, were good enough to start a band and begin to gig. But there are plenty of guitarists like myself, who’ve been playing for many years but still learning.

But this is one of the reasons why guitars are so compelling. There is always something new to learn, new instruments to try and new gizmos to play with. Playing guitar is an engrossing and immersive pass time that can take over your life.

Not only do I love to play the guitar but I also love to collect them. I am a lover of vintage resonator guitars. These are a form of acoustic guitar that uses a resonator cone made of spun allumnium to give the guitar extra volume. The design originates from the early part of the 20th century before electronic amplification became commonplace. The resonator guitar sound is very much the sound of early blues.

If you’re a guitar player or if you are lucky enough to know any guitarists you will already understand how obsessive they can become. Guitar enthusiasts will often find that playing guitar, collecting guitars, reading guitar magazines and going to guitarist gigs can take over their lives. And if you have a guitar playing husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend you will probably find yourself feeling less important than their obsessiion with guitars.
